Privacy Policy

What information the site and its service providers process, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Last updated 23 September 2026

This policy explains how information is handled when you use this website, contact us, or use the live-chat tools available on the site. We try to collect only what is useful for operating the website, understanding its performance and responding to enquiries.

The short version

  • We do not sell your personal information or use it to build advertising profiles.
  • We receive the information you choose to send when you contact us.
  • We use limited website analytics to understand traffic and enquiries.
  • Our live-chat provider may use cookies and browser storage when you choose to open the chat service.
  • You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you.

Information you send us

If you use the contact form or a product enquiry form, we receive your name, email address, your company if you give one, the kind of work you are asking about, any budget range you select and your message. If you write to us by email, contact us on WhatsApp, or start a live-chat conversation, we receive whatever information you choose to include.

We use that information to answer your enquiry, prepare a proposal or estimate where appropriate, and carry out work you ask us to do. We may also retain the conversation for reasonable business, security and record-keeping purposes.

Browser storage and essential preferences

The Ecapla website stores your selected light or dark theme and your reduced-motion preference in your browser's local storage. These settings are used to remember how you prefer the site to appear. They are not used by Ecapla for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited, where traffic generally comes from and which site interactions lead to an enquiry. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled in our site configuration. The analytics script is deferred until a visitor interacts with the site so it is not part of the initial page load.

Google Analytics may process technical information such as the page viewed, referrer, approximate location derived from network information, and general browser or device information. We configure Analytics to minimise browser storage and do not use the website to create our own cross-site advertising profiles. Google's own privacy and data processing terms also apply to information processed by its service.

Live chat

We use Tawk.to to provide live chat. The Tawk service is not loaded as part of the initial Ecapla page; its embedded widget is loaded when you choose to open live chat. At that point, Tawk.to may use cookies, local storage and session storage to operate the chat, maintain a connection, remember widget state and recognise a returning chat visitor. It may also process technical information such as an IP address, browser and device information, along with anything you submit in the chat.

Tawk.to states that its service data is stored using Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States and delivered through a global content delivery network. Depending on your location and the consent settings enabled for the chat service, you may be shown a consent prompt before chat-related storage is used.

Server and security logs

Our web host keeps standard server and security logs. These can include an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information and technical error or security information. We use those records to keep the website available, diagnose problems and investigate abuse or security incidents.

Who else is involved

  • Our web hosting provider, which serves the website and may store form submissions and server logs.
  • Our email provider, which delivers and stores email enquiries.
  • Google, which provides Google Analytics.
  • Tawk.to, which provides the optional live-chat service.
  • WhatsApp/Meta, only when you choose to contact us through WhatsApp.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not provide it to third parties for their own direct marketing. Third-party services have their own privacy terms and may process data in countries other than yours.

International transfers

Ecapla works internationally and some of the service providers used by this website operate infrastructure in multiple countries, including the United States. Information may therefore be processed outside your home country. Where applicable, we rely on the transfer safeguards and data processing terms offered by those providers and any other lawful transfer mechanism that applies.

How long we keep information

Enquiries are kept while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards for follow-up, business records and dispute prevention. Technical logs and third-party analytics or chat data follow the retention settings of the relevant service and our account configuration. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal or contractual record-keeping requirements.

Keeping information safe

The site is served over HTTPS and access to enquiry information is limited to people who need it for the relevant work. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where applicable, or object to or restrict certain uses. Email [email protected] and tell us what you are asking for. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR or other privacy legislation, including a right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

You can also avoid the live-chat service by contacting us by email or WhatsApp instead. Browser controls can be used to remove cookies or local-storage entries already saved on your device, although doing so may reset site or chat preferences.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 through this website.

Changes

We may update this policy when the website, the services we use or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
