WordPress Plugin

The WordPress admin, rebuilt as an operations console.

Running a WordPress site properly usually means six plugins that do not talk to each other and a dashboard that tells you everything except what needs doing. Lumina replaces that with one console that opens on the work that actually needs attention.

  • Lumina overview console in light mode: site health, SEO score and the items needing attention
  • The same Lumina console in dark mode, with a plugin conflict detected and flagged for review

The problem

The default WordPress dashboard shows you activity, not priorities. To find out whether the site is actually healthy you open the SEO plugin, then the security plugin, then the backup plugin, then the update screen, and assemble the picture in your head.

Each of those plugins also wants to own the same job. Two of them rewrite your meta tags, three of them add caching, and the conflicts only surface when something breaks on a Friday.

What we built

A single overview that answers one question first: what needs attention right now. Underneath it sit the numbers that matter, published posts, live pages, site health and SEO coverage, each with recent history rather than a bare figure.

The left rail groups everything by what you are trying to do rather than which plugin provides it. Manage covers content, appearance, SEO, links and performance. Communicate covers messages and mail. System covers the plumbing.

How it works in practice

Needs attention, first

The console opens on the items with the clearest next step, each with the action attached. Twelve plugin updates available becomes a Review Updates button rather than a number you have to go and act on somewhere else.

Works without extra plugins

Content, page and health metrics come from WordPress itself, so the numbers keep working even on a site that has nothing else installed. Where you do run something like Rank Math, Lumina syncs with it rather than competing.

Conflict detection

When two plugins claim the same capability, Lumina limits it to one writable provider and tells you which duplicates to remove. The conflict surfaces in the console instead of on the live site.

Quick actions where you look

Clear cache, check backup status and review updates sit on the overview, because those are the three things most people open the dashboard to do.

How it works

Lumina reads the state WordPress already keeps and presents it as one picture, rather than storing a parallel copy that can drift out of date.

Light and dark modes are built in, and the console is designed to stay quick on shared hosting, which is where most of the sites that need it actually live.

What is next

  • Multi-site view so an agency can watch a portfolio of sites from one console.
  • Scheduled health reports delivered by email.
